1st Annual Coed Champions Cup Soccer Tournament –
The end of the outdoor soccer season is quite visible on the horizon. Another season has come and gone in Boston and there’s no better way to cap it off than playing in the 1st Annual 1st Annual Coed Champions Cup Soccer Tournament! We here at HUB Sports run multiple sports tournaments a year, they make for a long day but sure are a lot of fun. For the administrators it’s up before sunrise and it’s not all said and done until the final teams pack up and leave the field. For the teams and participants, if you leave the tournament with balled up energy, you’re not doing something right. It’s like going to a buffet and leaving hungry, does that even happen? You can often play 50% or more of your typical regular season in a one-day tournament alone. It can be a grueling day but we all do it for the love of the sport.
So what’s this Champions Cup all about? Do you have to be a champion of a HUB league to enter? Certainly not, but it is a catchy name though, right? At the end of the day there will be only one team to earn the rights of the true champion of the Champions Cup. IT’s going to take a lot of stamina and even more determination to be the last one standing in this tournament. We have a great mix of teams entered so far. Some teams have played with us all season long in our outdoor leagues and some teams are completely new to HUB. What’s great about that is that we’re going to have a lot of parity come this Sunday. We’ll see a lot of familiar faces but we’ll also see some new ones and we always love meeting new people at the field! So don’t be shy, get your team on the pitch for the 1st Annual Champions Cup! The action kicks off this upcoming Sunday, November 18th at Danehy Park in Cambridge.
